Zoo to You
Today, we welcomed representatives from the Henry Vilas Zoo—along with a few animal friends like box turtles and geckos—for a fun and educational visit at our Lakeside Pavilion. Kids had the chance to meet, learn about, and even gently pet some of the animals. Check out a few highlights below, and don’t forget to visit the events calendar for more family-friendly programs this summer.

Agronomy Updates
As a reminder, the course will be closed next Monday (June 30th) for a scheduled day of venting on the greens—a key part of our turf health strategy. This process helps alleviate compaction, improve oxygen exchange in the soil, and maintain smooth, fast-playing greens with minimal disruption to play. Alongside venting, the team will also be verticutting, top-dressing, and grooming the greens to promote even better putting conditions.
In other updates, the rough has now returned to its regular maintenance height after several weeks of accelerated mowing to support healthy root development. With growth slowing due to heat and traffic, the team will shift focus back to detail work like bunker care, horticulture beds, and tree planting—recently completed on holes 9 and 11. We also completed a second application to our native areas to reduce weeds and improve long-term health. You may continue to see the spray rigs as we maintain a consistent treatment schedule through the peak of the season.
