Casual Corks: A Night of Blind Tasting and Unforgettable Views
Last night, members gathered in the Club’s pizza kitchen for a special evening of conversation, connection, and a bit of friendly competition. Casual Corks, our Blind Wine Tasting Mixer, offered a relaxed yet engaging atmosphere as guests sampled six mystery wines curated and discussed by Sarah and Kevin—all perfectly paired with a thoughtful menu of gourmet bites Chef Gabor.
With the soft evening breeze drifting in and stunning lake views just beyond the windows, guests sipped everything from crisp whites to bold reds, trying to pinpoint the varietal before each reveal. Some trusted their palate. Others followed the crowd’s guesses.
The tasting menu was a hit, featuring savory romesco meatballs, stuffed cheese mushrooms, and tender terres major crostini—alongside an artisan grazing board filled with cheeses, pickled vegetables, and house-made breads. Each pairing was designed to elevate the wine and awaken the senses.
But what truly made the evening memorable was the atmosphere—easy conversation flowing between sips, shared reactions to each reveal, and a collective sense of curiosity and enjoyment that filled the space.
Whether you guessed every wine correctly or just enjoyed discovering something new, the night was a celebration of flavor, curiosity, and community. We hope to start offering wine-centric events like this on a monthly basis, so let us know your thoughts!
